What is silicone?
Subcutaneous injection of 'filler' material to create the appearance of body fat, e.g. on cheeks, hips or buttocks, but which is extremely dangerous.
It's also known as Filler.
What does silicone do?
- Lower body
Increases size of hips or buttocks
How long does silicone last?
The effects are permanent but frequently involve very serious medical complications.
What should I be aware of?
Warning
Silicone filler injections are extremely dangerous and can result in permanent disfigurement 1 or death 2. Do not attempt this.
Silicone injections are different from modern breast augmentation, which is significantly safer.
Are there other options?
You may wish to consider lower risk alternative treatments such as liposuction.
