What is epilation?
Temporary removal of body hair using an epilator (machine that automatically plucks out hair).
What does epilation do?
- Body hair
Temporarily removes
How long does epilation last?
The effects last until the hair regrows (days to weeks).
What should I be aware of?
Epilation is generally a bit more painful than other methods of temporary hair removal.
Are there other options?
Shaving is less painful than epilation, but doesn’t last as long. This is because epilation removes the whole hair including the root, so the hair takes longer to grow back.
If there are only a few hairs on an area of skin, you may want to use tweezers to pluck them individually instead.
How much will it cost?
Epilators come in a range of prices, from £20 up to over £200.
